Here at SMP, creators make our world go ‘round—probably because we’re creators ourselves. We aim to shake up the stock media industry with some of the highest royalty rates in the biz because we know that exposure doesn’t pay an artist’s bills.
Video content has never been more accessible, but great content that aligns with your brand story and captivates your audience? Well that’s hard to come by. Thankfully, we work with creators across the globe who make quality aesthetic video formatted vertically for social media to save you time and energy. We truly believe that creators deserve the accolades for the work they bring to the table, which is why we’re highlighting some of the amazing talent we have on the SMP roster.
Meet Maria Clara
Maria can be found nestled in the heart of the Chillón Valley in Lima, Peru’s capital city. With a vast array of natural beauty and a rich culture across the coast, it’s no surprise that she finds endless inspiration there. Her keen eye for capturing dreamy native flora bathing in sunlight and rushing South American waters is only part of what makes her work so special. Mama’s Kitchen Pack evokes a sense of nostalgia for another era, and Maria finds immense beauty in the stillness of her settings.
We took some time to talk with Maria about her video process and what inspires her most. We hope you enjoy!
SMP: How did you get started in videography?
MC: As a photographer's daughter, I actually started as a photographer and made my way into videography later on. I was studying audiovisual communications because I wanted to be a photographer and just fell in love with cinema and the versatility of moving pictures in general.
SMP: What inspires you when creating video/motion packs?
MC: Just the world itself! I think there's a lot of beauty surrounding us and I feel there's something to capture almost anytime and anywhere. I travel and move around a lot so I'm waking up to different scenarios constantly and exploring is an excellent way to create content.
SMP: How would you describe your aesthetic/style?
MC: Natural and realistic. I get inspired by reality, people, nature and my approach is very documentary-style.
SMP: What advice would you give to future Creators with social motion packs?
MC: Shoot! Just get your camera out and shoot! There is always a creative way to portray a situation or scenario, even if doesn't look like it at first. And if you think not, maybe you need to get closer ;)
